The War is Over. The Greatest Sidekick of All Time…Revealed?

Sometimes websites like Gamespot.com will have silly tournaments with video game characters in a March Madness style bracket formation. Best Hero, Best Villain, etc. Recently they apparently had a Best Sidekick tournament where people could vote for their favorite sidekick and the winner gets...oh right absolutely nothing. It was just for fun. Because these sidekicks aren't real. Some people took it a little too serious when Launchpad McQuack (from Ducktales) won.

Lauchpad McQuack won? How did he manage to defeat Albert? EMC must not be equal to/or even squared. I can see Launchpad beating Albert in a hotdog eating contest. But that is it.

Now I shall have to track down the NES Ducktales game and play it. I never did play that game back in 1989. It was a decent platformer, If I remember correctly the Gamepro magazine review was good. But I never played Ducktales for the NES.

Mmm, yes. If I do recall a Gamepro paragraph about a game I never played back in 1989, I do believe it said the game was 'good.'

this is really pathetic, alot of really good names were out in the first round. Dom (Gears of War), Luigi (if you dont know what he's from, go kill yourself), Navi (Zelda), Epona (zelda), Cortona (Halo), Garrus (Mass Effect), Dogmeat (Fallout), Dog (fable). these arent just all the big names, but just some off the top of my head that deserve to win more than Launchpad...

Yea these contests are jokes. I mean I absolutely HATE Master Chief but he didn't deserve to lose to the Bubble Bubble Dino's (despite the fact I voted for them). And the Brood Queen as the worst villain was just as bad. Gamespot you need to fix these or stop doing them
