The Drop: Week of April 2nd 2012 New Releases

PlayStation likes to let people know some upcoming games that are being released this week. Y'know. Just to be nice to its loyal fanbase. Apparently they're releasing a very popular series from the PS2 days all on 1 blu-ray disc. This can't possibly go wrong, can it?

Ha. Only thing blu-ray is good for, sorry BLUERAY, is that it doesn't scratch as easily as DVDs!

PlayStation Network Regular Scheduled Maintenance on Thursday

As usual, normal maintenance on the Playstation Network sends the nerds into a rage. The network usually goes down for about 12 hours, and obviously there is nothing else to do on Earth. Sony usually doesn't say exactly what it's for, and nerds feel entitled to know everything a giant corporation like Sony needs to do to make sure their services work properly.

Sometimes games will add special characters to download and play with. Making the game usually more fun. Usually in a fighting game or something like that. Y'know, for diversity. And why not? This can't really ruin anyone's day right?

When i called Sony Customer Service about this issue the moment the store update went live, they had no idea what i was talking about, and refused to even look into the issue or even call Stainless Steal to see if there was a problem.

Yep, I agree! I’ve only callled once, and wished I hadn’t :
Back in June, I was still new to the PS3, and I had played my free copy of Infamous (thanks to the Welcome Back, thanks to the blackout right after I got a PS3) several times. Then it wouldn’t work. I’d get into the game and Cole wouldn’t move, just stand there, no matter what I pushed.
So I called customer service. The rep sounded like she had never seen a PS3, was just reading scripts off a computer screen. After thinking about it or researching for 5 minutes, the solution she gave ? Delete the game, and re-download it. So I did that, and it was a long slow download. Then it still wouldn’t work. Very frustrating!
A couple days later when I went back to my first controller, it worked again! Who would have thought it matters what number is assigned to the controller. A checklist of simple questions for things that might not be obvious to new owners would have saved time and frustration, and given a positive outlook on the customer service staff, instead of them looking as lost as me.

Also, aside from the Marvel Pinball this month, the other PS+ members are right, the games have been getting worse, and by that, we mean cheaper, not as in depth, or overplayed/over given away. inclucding when the PSN came back up, I can think of atleast 3-4 times A Space Shooter For 2 Bucks has been given away for free, and its counted as a free game, each and every time. it’s redundant. Please stop. Really. Please.

Sony did a commercial to show the fans they appreciate their Playstation support. They had people send in pictures with the chance of getting into the commercial. Then they announced you can make your own video on Facebook and have fun with it. Y'know, just a fun, free, no-obligation type of thing...
